Tatyana Pope
Tatyana Pope has over 20 years’ experience in Government Contracting and International Business Development. In her current position, Tatyana works with U.S. companies that provide mission-critical solutions for the national security agencies and programs of the U.S. Government. She won and managed many projects with the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Department of State, United Nations, and U.S. Defense Logistics Agency for several government contracting companies. Some wins include $250M U.S. Army's Entry Control Point – 3 (ECP-3) contract to provide force protection surveillance and inspection equipment throughout Afghanistan; many task orders under the U.S. Air Force Counter-Narcoterrorism Technology Program Office (CNTPO) and the U.S. Army Material Command’s Counter Narcotics Global Threat (CNGT) IDIQs; Aircraft Procurement & ISR Modification in Tunisia; Police Evidence Labs throughout Morocco; Force Protection for the U.S. Embassy in Lesotho, Inter-Agency Communication System throughout Honduras; UAS in Kosovo; Body Armor in Pakistan; Mobile Kitchens in Africa; DLA’s Online Tracking System; and many more. Tatyana led the effort of establishing the Baltimore Cyber Range and the Intrusion Countermeasures Education - Training (ICE-T) consortium to provide Maryland residents with IT and cyber training. This program was supported by Governor Hogan and Mayor Pugh. In 2005, Tatyana spearheaded the historic US-Russia Anti-Terrorism cooperation by organizing U.S. delegations to Moscow and Russian delegations to Washington, DC, in support of bilateral initiatives formed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and led by Congressman Curt Weldon, Vice Chairman of the Armed Services Committee and Vice Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee. Tatyana helped with government relations and strategic advisory on federal decisions and policies and provided consultation on federal funding and appropriations. Tatyana provided support to the U.S. Department of Commerce by organizing roundtables and workshops for foreign delegations seeking American services and products. Immediately following 9/11, Tatyana organized congressional briefings, defense / homeland security summits, and post-disaster reconstruction conferences for a major Washington, DC based PR firm. Through these roles, she established close ties with the diplomatic community, working directly with Ambassadors and attachés of over 40 countries. Tatyana also has a lot of experience with commercial projects. She helped America’s largest distance learning technology company structure channel partnerships in ten European countries and build distance learning capacity in Russia. She managed African and Russian markets for a leading heavy equipment exporter and international financier.
